Jack started the 3 stars tonight and they went like this...
3rd Star- Sasha Pangea with 52 of 56 saves
2nd Star- Isaac Calamity with 2 goals
1st Star....some chinlicker... with a shutout

It was an awesome game!
We're starting this for fun..just a little nice extra recognition. The 3 refs can discuss, pick the stars and announce after games  No rules or backlash, just have fun with it! There's many games I see amazing plays and play makers in all positions, and kinda cool to give that shout-out. |

I think that's really neat Jack. I often too ref games where I'm like "wow" over certain things. There's people making great game-play, little recognition for that doesn't hurt. |

| I know we've got the player recognition thing on the website, but this is even better! How awesome it'll be to get to pat someone on the back. It doesn't even have to be the "big score" or "most hits", hand out a star to that poor little rookie Defenseman that's been trying sooo hard to take out a five season scoring vet and you'll make their day! |

Well, that's fine, anyone wanting to make drama out of something fun and harmless can go find something else to do.
I agree Kalita, and all us refs last night were freaking out over a lot of the great plays. It was actually hard to settle on who and what order! Fantastic game. |

Unless the refs all base their voting off a set basis your going to get results like this game, where the right stars(possibly) were picked but in the wrong order. Thats why I said it could cause drama. |

And I agree with Kalita, it would especially give the rookies out there a good boost too! And lord knows they need it some times.

| Yeah Dex suggested that each captain pick an opponent, and refs pick one player also. I think this is nice too. |
