Hi all you crazy hockey folks! I figured I'd get the ball rolling on this, but I've been looking at setting up a charity hockey game for the Relay For Life to bring in some donations for the cause. Already got an okay from Jack, so at this point I just need a set date and people who would like to play in it! The game will be for FUN and to bring in some donations.
A lot of things are going to be starting soon, but I'd like to set this up to be at the end of March or early April however it can be pushed back if absolutely needed. A day also needs to be decided, I've heard thursdays and saturdays so far but it really depends on who's going to be playing!
So basically if you'd like to play.. or help in any way, feel free to post! ^
Current Plan: There will be a game on the 5th of April, but current thought is to run a game on thursday AND saturday, so if the game is televised on SLCN the saturday game could be advertised and would bring in even more donations.
Date: Thursday April 3rd and Saturday April 5th
Time: 7/8PM? on Thursday and around 2:30-3PM? on saturday

| The date we'll try and do this on will be April 4th (hopefully), right now we just need more players and to set a time that's good for everyone on that day, most likely around 7-8PM. |

The game is now scheduled for April 3rd at 7:30.. lets hope we can co-ordinate some promotion with SLCN and SL Relay for Life.. good chance to raise money for a great cause, and promote SLHL! I have some ideas for related fund raising...

A few people seem to be interested but can't make it due to timezone and stuff like that, so we're going to push the date back to the 5th. This game would start a little bit after the farm league on that saturday.
We really wanna get as many people involved as we can, so hopefully this will be the set date and will be able to work with everyones schedule. We'll go with a 3:30PM start time for the event, we'll decide on the schedule of the events soon (game, auctions, raffle, etc).

Talked with some of the SLCN crew, they're trtying to round up bodies to make the 3 April game happen. They like the break from the weekly grind just as much as the rest of us do.  |

| Thanks a lot Vox and everybody so far for all the help and getting it really moving. There will be a game on the 3rd and on the 5th to get everyone in to play, so those who have volunteered can start sending me IMs/notecards or whatever with what jersey number you want so we can start getting those to Merrik and Fury. |
