I agree, its not fair, but all Crosby fans will love him no matter what he does. Even with him punching another players groin. If anybody knows about fighting in hockey, guys respect each other enough to stop throwing punches when another player has their head under the sweater, but Crosby didn't stop throwing punches.

Anyway Crosby is such a pussy. McLean was focused on playing hockey not trying to look like a badass. Crosby threw down his gloves immeadiately and didn't even attempt a fair fight. He just grabbed the jersey and pulled it over the head and KEPT PUNCHING. Yea Sid's a real badass for fighting someone thats near defenseless. When that Bertuzzi bastard almost killed Moore, everyone just FORGOT that. NHL is full of coward players doing coward acts and got suspended for that (like Chris Simon, Bertuzzi and others) But of course no one is jealous about not having a Bertuzzi or a Simon on their team so they dont have to create topics about Bertuzzi and Simon failing and bitching.
Crosby was victim of those coward actions many times, but of course when Blake suddenly speared Crosby, its because Crosby dove, yeah, right. If players attack Crosby is ok, but when Crosby does the same, he is a monster, he doesnt respect other players and bla bla bla bla bla bla bla...
Who gives a crap if Crosby fights or not? He wasnt desired for ALL the teams (including the team you support) to fight. He wasnt the 1st overall draft choice to fight. He was chosen to score as many points as possible and make people who dont have him on their team cry about it all the time. And he is doing that, you like or not.
If we make a fusion of Datsyuk, Savard and Vanek, that player wouldnt have half of talent Crosby has. Thats why people cry about him all the time. Because while you waste your time trying to talk bs about him, he is breaking records and making you cry.

I'm not saying Crosby isn't one of the best players in the league, because he is. Personally I would rather have Jarome Iginla or Alex Ovechkin over him but thats just me. If any team could have Crosby of course they would take him.
The difference is I can admit when a player on my favorite team did something wrong or acts like a pussy at times. For example I'm a Bruins fan, and Marc Savard at times acts like a pussy, I've seen him dive before and complain to the refs but I can admit it, you guys can't or won't say Crosby acts like a pussy at times too. Get off your knees.
It appears all 3 of you are Penguins fans and cannot look at this fight without your face in Crosby's ass. He jumped McLean, instigated the fight (and was penalized for it). He kept throwing punches at a defenseless opponent who couldn't see anything. Thats cheap.

You can list all the stats, numbers, and individual awards you want, but the most important stat is he still has 0 rings right now.
No one said Crosby can't fight, if you saw his fight from last season vs Andrew Ference then you can see he knows much more than Semin does about fighting.
Its good to be a fan of your favorite team but you got to open your eyes once in a while.

Back on track...anyways. Malkin has much more talent than Crosby. All the highlights I've seen of Crosby have been pure luck. Ovechkin is probably the most talented player in the league considering he plays all positions, including goalie on numerous occasions.
And also, although they're not in the NHL yet, Tavares and McCollum are showing a lot more talent and potential than Crosby ever did. |

King, that means nothing till they have the real experience in NHL. Every year the media loves to say we will have the new Gretzky and the new Lemieux. Every year (or almost every year) they say one prospect will become a super star. How many really became? Did Lecavalier become the new Lemiex? I mean, he is a very good player, but he will NEVER be the new Lemieux (people said that the year he was drafted). And where is Esposito and many others who were seen as super prospects and became nothing in the league? Tavares could be a star, indeed, but no one knows if that will really happen. Based on the junior career no one could say Malkin would be better than Crosby someday, but today he is. If that will change in the future I dont know. And for gods sake, LUCK? He is among the top scorers every season and you talk about luck? Lol, give me a break. So that goal Ovie scored against Coyotes 2 years ago was pure talent for you? Lmao. THAT was luck.
Boston, no one is saying Crosby is a saint or innocent. What Im saying is that many players do much worse but we dont see a club of haters for it. Where are the club of Bertuzzi haters? Or Chris Simon? Or Sean Avery? Or Roenick and his dirty hits? Or even Barnaby, who always wanted to fight even without asking first? No one is innocent there, they even have a trophy for the most gentlemanly player. The problem is, Crosby cant do that because its absurd, but no problem when many players do worse things. He shall change his current behavior, as many others should. But when Balls create a topic only for Crosby, the reason is obvious. If he was worried about the league he would create topics for all examples I gave, not only Crosby.
As I said, Crosby was drafted to score points, and he is doing that. If people want him as the "face of NHL" its not his problem, neither mine. I dont care if he can fight or not, quite the opposite. Penguins dont need their second best player 5 minutes out. Same about Malkin.
You rate a good player with individual stats, not rings. Even 4th line players win the cup if the team is good enough for that. He is still young, 21 years is nothing than a boy. How many players can say they won the Art-Ross played the Stanley Cup Finals with 20 years? Eventually he will win the Stanley, he has plenty of time for that.
I am not a Crosby fan. Im a Pens fan since 1995 and my great hero is Mario Lemieux. My second favorite player in the league is Joe Sakic. I just dont like hypocrisy and this Balls topic is hypocrite. As I said, if Balls was worried about the league he would talk about all the players. But he is just envious because Crosby is a star and his team has none. Thats all. |

THAT was skill with a little bit of luck. He kept his blade on the ice and moved the stick over his head and shot it toward the net. He even looked where to shoot. But I never said it didn't take luck to be a good player. But every highlight I see of Crosby, he does a danglefest or whatever, powers toward the net, and takes a random shot toward the side of the net. My friends do the same thing.
And the reason why the "lower" players don't have haters is because they don't have as many fans blindly following Crosby like he's a god. And for God's sake, I've rarely ever seen a call against him. (Specifically I'm thinking of his high-stick-goal just recently). |
