WTF?!?!?!?! That fight would be considered ILLEGAL and according to the league rules, and I quote:
II. UNSPORTSMANLIKE CONDUCT: Players are expected to act like adults.An Unsportsmanlike Conduct infraction a player receives during a game will result in a major penalty (5 minutes) being assessed to the player. Additionally, if any player receives a second Unsportsmanlike Conduct penalty during a game that player will receive a game misconduct in addition to the second major penalty. More flagrant incidents may lead to possible banning from the rinks and the GOHA group. The team of a player receiving an Unsportsmanlike Conduct penalty must play shorthanded for the entire 5 minutes, regardless of goals.
Unsportsmanlike Conduct includes, but is not limited to:
1. Arguing with the Referee, or non-captains IMing the referee.
2. Arguing with other players or league members. Anyone who chooses to offensively argue with, taunt, cuss at, name call, or harass another player or team will receive a major penalty.
3. Using obscene, inflammatory, or provoking language or behavior.
4. Obnoxious behavior resulting in distraction from the game, including the refusal to remove attachments when asked by the referee to do so.
An unsportsmanlike conduct charge may be invoked on a player outside game times for extreme cases. Example, a player who is harassing, provoking, flaming opponents following a game in which he/she did not like the outcome, may be assessed a penalty to be carried by his/her team in the next scheduled game. This must be reviewed by management before invoked. |
Besides that, would you like being in that situation? I would not ever like to be in that situation. The fan and the player might both get banned from that place! |
