I am not sure whats up, but some of the player's stats are not loading for some reason on Dyzware, not sure whats up.
Nadoka's is one. |
|
|
I'm having the issue too, trying to look up some S7 stats for awards and a good number of folks don't pull up. I'll mention it to Dyz. |
|
|
Yea I was trying to get the checking stats off the site but couldn't get practically anyone to load so i wasn't able to update the final list |
|
|
Ok I went through everyone today, and (in prep for awards) gathered the total points, attendance, penalties, and plus/minus for everyone except these 7 names will not pull up their stats:
Me Allan G Beavis Billybob Ellick Dyz Huxley
|

I've seen this happen a few times. Seems to be one of those errors that takes place "when the stars align".
I'll take a look and fix them! |

Jack, when figuring out plus/minus remember to not count sub games.
The stat site isn't entirely accurate as far points is concerned also. I know there's a few Cobras games where the ref hud wasn't recording and it was never adjusted on the stat site. Might want to check with Ellick and Bobby about more accurate stats as they've been keeping them for SLCN. |

If someone else has a more accurate stat system, please let me know. I spend a little too much time keeping this one up and running. |

ZOMG!! Huxley, are you missing an assist?? However will you survive without that one point? Do you feel okay? Shall I call the Wah!mbulance??
Do you need to sit down? Want a bandaid? A hankie? A length of rope? The pain and injustice of all your hard work going unappreciated... oh. Wait. Nevermind. |

Because we all knew I would.....

And I fully appreciate every bit of time you put into the league and the stat site. Your time might be stretched a little too thin, and you might want to consider allowing someone else access to modify the stat site because numerous posts on the Game Discussion forums were overlooked throughout the season to accurately track stats.
If accurate stat tracking is not the aim then as a ref and team co-captain, I will stop posting in the Game Discussion forum for point adjustments to be made that the in-game stat tracking misses. |

My spidey senses tell me Anh doesn't like me and has an underlying issue with me. |

Hux, I've attended every captains meeting since January. The only concern about stats during that time was assists. I implemented changes on the ref hud that completely resolved that problem.
No captain in any of the weekly meetings has mentioned any problems with the accuracy of the stats. Here, though, you say that people are now tracking thier own stats because they are more accurate? This is where I have a problem and really the league has the problem.
There should be only one official representation of league statistics. If you have a better method, I'd suggest you propose it to the captains and let the league decide. |

Now, back to the original issue. Jack, the problem was caused by timeouts. After some quick tuning this morning, the data is running much faster.
Also, for awards, I emailed the end of season snapshot to you. |

Your completely misunderstanding. Remember when the ref hud was not letting refs register assists? Refs would write down assists. Well, I did too for Cobras games because often times the ref at the game would not do so. I made several posts during that time on the forums in the Game Discussion section for your benefit. Many of those posts for stat corrections were not addressed.
My point being is that the tracking of statistics is not full proof during a game. The problem we had with the assist menu coming up or when a ref accidently removes a goal which the gets wiped out from the player tally on the stat site. No one is keeping their own seperate, secret statistics. Bobby and Ellick only kept stats pulled from your stat site with the missed stats posted on the forums that you forgot about.
The stat site is as perfect as we are going to get. I'm not sitting here railing against what you've done. Your putting words in my mouth. All I'm asking is that, for the sake of accuracy, a better job needs to be done in addressing stat correction posts made in the Game Discussion forums which has been a standard method for awhile. All I am saying is that, if you don't have the time to check the forums, assign someone else that duty and they can manually adjust the stat site to reflect the missed points.

Woot thanks Dyz!!
I'm working on trophies. Don't worry guys, they're not those weird ones I tried to give out 4 seasons ago lol.. Vivy and I were looking at 4.18.09. The weekend before is Easter and the weekend before that, playoffs. We're going to both be imbibed of happy stuff and hosting the awards again |

As far as this blooming argument going on in this post, it doesn't seem very constructive. Let's do this. First, the assists problem is now addressed and fixed on the HUD, so any further discussion on that point, or opinions on how it should be handled, seems a bit moot. It was definitely identified previously and fixed in the script. If problems come up again it will be looked at. Second, if there were points on previous games not adjusted, it would be helpful if perhaps someone could provide a summary of them. That would be more constructive. There's a lot of remembering and addressing more for one person really unless you were here 24/7. I can look over a summary and make sure my records for awards reflect and match up. Either way let's try not to turn it all so personal. Caution and consideration in words |

OMG people think before you SPEAK! Or TYPE. Whatever!!!!!
