We should, yes.
And I think let's leave it up to our sweet Special Events manager..that would be you, Sugar! how you want to do it. We did it by vote last time. You could choose to hold a special event after games one night soon and anyone who gives a crap can show and nominate people and take it at that! Or you can send out a notecard for a league wide vote. Your call. |

The Weis man is qouted - I think rather then open voting this year we should elect a All Star Committee to select the players. Captains + League Officials + a few select others (like Vox) maybe.
Personally I think the awards at the end of the season should be handled the same way.
Ideally I'd like to see NA vs Europe All Star format. On a Saturday afternoon.

I like Weis Idea w/ the exception to League Officials because many are players also (Conflict). The Team Captains are the ones that drafted, game planned, & have their own philosophies of play. Thus they get credibility for being responsible in making the All-Star Team.
I suggest each Captain makes their own fantasy All-star team. They will make the first line & the second line including the goalies (2 of em), then select 4 alts. The only restriction is they cannot include their own players in the making of the lineups.
First line - 3pts
Second Line -2pts
Alts - 1pt
Total them up & in the end you probably will find the true All-star roster & lineups. Because the captains may have different methods of constructing an ultimate team this may give some respects to all styles of players in the end.
If there is a jam/tie at the end of the list, then each can fight each other to death to establish most likely the Alts.
------ If one want players involved they can establish the game lineups (Same method) from the full roster selected from the previous process.
As for the Euro League... let everyone in that league vote because of only two teams. |

I think the allstar game should either be skipped till next season or after the cup we still have issues up in the air this year. Like playoff format new captains and that stuff.
I personally think the allstar format next year should be chosen by the captians and we should pick 3 na teams and 1 euro for 1 side and 3 na and the other euro for the other side |

All right.... this is how its goin down:
Saturday, 9/15 at 3pm
We will meet at Jericho & vote for all stars and , like Jack suggested,
who ever shows up, gets to vote. We do an "early" 3pm hour to accomodate europians. (cuz we luv dem xoxoxoxo)
Pending approval from Viv, Weis & Jack, I think we shud b
able to vote for any1, rookie or vet. The ref will be ...... I'll hafta find out what was dun last year/season since all of my all star experience is from tv.
We need Weis or anothr volunteer to do uniforms, Vienna for award ceremony & awards, (I'll contact & nag them)& we'll hav a lil party after the game. Any othr details I have left out please do let me know . but...
HOW voting & choosing will be done is now decided among Weis, Viv Jack & myself. Period.
Our tentative game date is Sat, 9/29 3pm

first off last i checked the moose lost a leg in their last game vs the wolves  (lmaooo) but i like the idea of having team captains vote players on their own team to the all star game, i mean they see hands on how good their players are. So why not have them choose who is worthy enough to represent their team? i like the idea.. |

| well that is good i mean some of the NA games should be earlier, like tuesdays game is 9pm for me and i work at 5:30 in the morning and thats after i get done with some studying for my courses, so thats usually why i cant make night games |

Sugar, whilst I remember I had an interesting IM from one of the euro players the other night.. You say that the early time of 3pm euro friendly but not too bad for me as that is 11pm but for some of our friends on the european continent 3pm slt is 1am in the morning for them.... so not all that "friendly"
getting a mutual time is actually going to be a nightmare but if you can bring it forward to 1pm that might be more feasible... IDK |

Sugar:Game 7 of the playoffs is scheduled at that exact time! I guess we have to see if it's going all the way to 7, and if so, reschedule. (Or you could pick another time now.) I don't think we should move the playoff game, people have probably already done some planning around it. |
